These are the early stages of the Leopold tornado---the funnel shown here had only developed 10 seconds earlier!. The rapidity of the funnel generation was astonishing, there was no evidence of 'horizontal tilting' the funnel simply appeared from a region of rapidly upward moving fracto cumulus. The frame shows the very rear of the flanking line,from this time the funnel progressively grew larger.
